Intro to Agile Workshop
Rick Mook, Ph.D., A-CSM, PMI-ACP
This hands-on, participatory course provides a broad introduction to agile. The knowledge, experiences, and skills from this course will empower your employees to embrace change, collaborate across your organization in new ways, and deliver value more quickly.
Agenda:
Welcome and Logistics
Principles and Values
Through a series of activities, participants will learn how the agile principles and values help us adapt to change.
Value Proposition
Drawing on exercises and past experience in projects, participants will work in teams to map how agile approaches affect the visibility, business value, adaptability, and risk of most projects.
Ways of Working
The many agile frameworks used today share some crucial practices that are beneficial beyond agile as well. Here we will explore how agile practices like cross-functional teams, standups, progressive elaboration, “just enough” documentation, and minimum viable bureaucracy can help us become more efficient.
