May VIRTUAL Meeting Bert Walther

Presentation:  Bert Walther "Managing Expectations & Dealing with Delusions, One Stakeholder at a Time"

Bert will walk us through his career working in Information Technology and Project Management, and deliver a case study of using Project Management Best Practices for a large Windows 10 upgrade project for the City of Lexington. Through this project, 1,604 machines were updated, resulting in significant license savings for the City. Additionally, the project allowed the City to prioritize, scope, schedule, and provide budget for:

  • The purchase & implementation of a new Service Desk Ticketing System
  • Identification & remediation of existing Access databases in the Enterprise
  • Document and improve the annual Lease Computer Project
  • Facilitate the move of on-premise Exchange to the Microsoft Cloud
  • Provide assistance identifying opportunities for leadership development, process improvement and project management
