James Rose is a Director in the Healthcare Disputes, Compliance and Investigations practice at Navigant, serving as the payer sector services leader. He plays an integral role in advising clients across the continuously evolving healthcare landscape. James has more than 25 years of federal, state and private sector experience in compliance, enterprise risk management, internal audit, data governance and process improvement allowing him to expertly support finance, strategy, operations, and compliance executives to achieve their strategic objectives.

James’ areas of expertise include HCC Risk Adjustment Process Compliance, Healthcare Fraud and Compliance, External Financial and Regulatory Audit, Internal Audit and Compliance Functions, Operational Assessments, Enterprise Risk Management Facilitation, Root Cause Analysis and Corporate Governance Optimization.

Professional Experience includes internal audit and enterprise risk management, healthcare expertise, root cause expertise and representative engagement including payer operations consulting, enterprise governance, strategy and risk management, internal audit and compliance function oversight and data governance and fraud.

James is currently serving as Chair of the Audit Committee for the United Nations World Food Programme, member of the Professional Responsibilities and Ethics Committee of the Institute of Internal Auditors, member of the Finance Advisory Working Group for Jefferson County Public Schools (Louisville, KY), and Advisory Board member, University of Kentucky School of Accountancy.
