[In Person] - June Chapter Event: The Reluctant Trailblazer: Navigating the AI Shift for Career Resilience

Business Acumen

The AI revolution is here, and for many of us in technology, the feeling isn’t just excitement—it’s hesitation. We’ve seen the hype cycles before, but the data tells a sobering story: women in tech are statistically more vulnerable to AI-driven displacement. As a lifelong learner who has felt the "AI-fatigue" and the pressure to keep up, I am not here to tell you how to become an AI expert. I am here to walk through how I’ve begun to use AI as a tool for career self-defense.

In this session, we will move past the basic prompts and dive into practical, low-barrier strategies to use AI to bridge the confidence gap and solidify your standing in the industry. We will explore how to stop competing with AI and start using it to amplify the human-centric skills that machines cannot replicate.

Key Takeaways:

The Survival Strategy: Understanding why "staying on the sidelines" is a career risk and how to pivot from doing tasks to auditing AI outputs.

The Career Mirror: Practical ways to use AI to overcome the confidence gap, from reframing resumes to identifying "hidden" qualifications you didn’t know you had.

Building the "Human Moat": How to use AI to automate the "grunt work" so you can double down on the high-value strategic relationships that protect your role.
