Team Building in Project Management

Learn the definition and objectives of team building, common barriers to team building and strategies to overcome them, including building effective project teams in a virtual environment. This course includes activities to reinforce the concepts and strategies involved in building and maintaining strong, virtual project teams.

Kellie McDermott, PMP

Kellie has over 10 years of experience in providing training management, instructional design, and facilitation services to clients. She is experienced in software application training and various learning processes including adult learning techniques. Kellie has worked alongside state, research, and Fortune 500 clients. She is well equipped in user manual development, creating Computer-Based Training (CBT) modules, eLearning programs, research, curriculum design, and project management. Kellie has worked on large-scale, multi-state training programs for use by over 30,000 end users. At HealthTech Solutions, she works extensively in Medicaid provider outreach and onboarding as part of a team for North Dakota. She is experienced in agile methods and is a certified Scrum Professional. As the Training Lead for the Montana project using Agile methodology, she works in two-week sprints and attends daily Scrum stand ups to develop training for staff and end users. When she worked for Conduent, she worked exclusively in an agile environment to design training and project documentation. Kellie is a credentialed Project Management Professional.
