Professional Project Management:  Procedures, Processes, Principles, Practices

Most of us certainly consider project management to be a profession, and ourselves as professionals. But what does that mean? Do we know the differences among procedures, processes, and principles? And which do we use in our day-to-day work? And just what is a practice, anyway? Let’s explore all of these concepts together as we kick off the new year!

About Our Presenter, Bruce Maples

Bruce Maples currently serves as an IT Workforce Management Consultant for Humana, where he has worked in IT for the past 15 years. Prior to his current role, he led the IT Learning Services team, responsible for all learning needs of the IT organization and the technology learning needs of the entire company. Before coming to Humana, he was a partner in a consulting company, and delivered technical and non-technical training around the country. He has written for Microsoft Press, TechRepublic, and other outlets. In his spare time, Bruce runs a number of blogs covering a wide array of interests, and leads the orchestra at his church.
