KIPMI Board members are volunteers that are elected every fall and serve as an officer-elect for the first year, and a voting officer for the second year.  Click on the position title below to view a detailed position description.

All KIPMI Chapter Elected Board Members are responsible for:

    • Attending all board meetings
    • Replying to motions via email within 3 business days for decisions between meetings
    • Attending all possible chapter events such as dinner and lunch meetings as a visible member of the board
    • Attending and contributing to all annual planning and strategy sessions
    • Collaborating with other board members with initiatives that cross over board portfolios
    • Keeping up on duties and responsibilities of own portfolio
    • Contributing to the overall board strategy and effective operations
    • Promoting KIPMI and its initiatives and values at business and PM community events
    • Building good relationships with members and volunteers
    • Building positive and productive relationships between KIPMI and the business and education communities
    • Contributing information for the KIPMI website

President
As CEO for the KIPMI Chapter and the Chapter Board, the President is responsible for establishing the strategic direction for the chapter in concurrence with PMI's goals, and for ensuring that chapter representatives collectively contribute to the achievement of that strategy, as well as the chapter's sustainability.

VP of Programs
The VP of Programs is responsible for development and delivery of all chapter meeting programming.  Also serves as Executive Sponsor for the annual Professional Development Day event.

VP of Education
The VP of Education is responsible for development and delivery of all educational offerings for all components including Certification, PMI Standards, seminars, and Mentoring programs.

VP of Membership
The VP of Membership is responsible for enrollment and retention, membership recognition, advocating for membership issues, survey policy and processes, and related activities.

VP of Marketing
The VP of Marketing is responsible for the development and delivery of marketing and advertising programs, including sponsor acquisition and management, corporate outreach, advertisement sales, and external advertising and press releases.

VP of Finance
The VP of Finance is accountable for the management of funds for duly authorized purposes of KIPMI.  This includes budget preparation, archiving chapter financial documentation, filing of tax returns, authorizing and processing all accounts payable and receivable, overseeing negotiations and contracts.

VP of Communications
The VP of Communications is responsible for faciltating the dissemination and archiving of information relating to chapter business, meetings and projects.  

VP of Web Integration
The VP of Web is responsible for the management and upkeep of the KIPMI website, email accounts, and other internet-delivered services in support of chapter initiatives.

VP of Logistics
The VP of Logistics is responsible for providing overall technology expertise and infrastructure in support of Board and Chapter operations, and technology management.
