Register for Event

The Chapter Board is excited to offer this program to our membership. We hope you will join us!

Attending a Book Club event is also an excellent opportunity to meet with and get to know Chapter members and guests. The club will meet once a quarter for 60 minutes. You can earn PDUs for reading the book and a PDU for participating in the group discussion. At this time the event will be virtual, but we hope there will be an opportunity in the future for us to meet in person, if desired.

If you have any questions regarding the book club or would like to recommend a book please email us at education@kipmi.org

August Book Club - Influence in Talent Development

August 25, 2022 - 11:30am - 12:30pm

At work, we often find ourselves in situations where we can and do influence others. We are negotiators, persuaders, conciliators, and maybe intermediaries and mediators. While there used to be little to no emphasis placed on developing these skills, organizations now recognize the ability to influence as critical for effective employee relations and productivity.

Join us in August to learn from the book's author, Vivian Blade, as we examine the growing importance of personal influence at work and its impact on your relationships, career, and organizational success. Vivian will help us explore what we can do in our professional and personal lives to cultivate and benefit from the influence we have so we can be more impactful.

Influence in Talent Development can be purchased from Amazon, another online retailer, or check out your local library to borrow it.
