Project Manager - Speaker Opportunities at Local College/University |

Volunteer Opportunity: Volunteer role will be accountable for the maintenance and production of the KIPMI volunteer speaker catalog to be shared with local colleges/universities on a semi-annual basis. This role would also be responsible for maintaining the relationship with these schools. Due to the dynamic nature of the class schedules, the schools would directly coordinate with potential volunteers.
Volunteers for this opportunity should have strong communication and interpersonal skills due to the heavy interaction with KIPMI members, university representatives (both to maintain and develop new relationships). This role should also be able to receive feedback on speaker performance to enhance the program and to share with the speaker. The ability to assist potential presenters, if needed, would be a plus for this role.
Start Date: April 1, 2010
Duration: Ongoing
Time Commitment: 1-2 hours a week typical, with peek periods of 6 hours a week

Volunteer Opportunity: Volunteer member to work with the Administration team to lead the effort to evaluate and update our current election processes and document these changes. This opportunity involves the evaluation of the current election process, identifying gaps, receiving feedback from KIPMI board members, and evaluating other PMI chapter processes. Working with the KIPMI board of directors to define and document a new election process within the new KIPMI chapter bylaws and operational plan.

Bylaws Rewrite Project Lead - RFP Process Redesign |

Volunteer Opportunity: Volunteer member(s) to work with the Administration team to update the KIPMI Chapter Bylaws. This project involves the following initiatives:
1. Evaluate the current RFP process, identify gaps, receive feedback from KIPMI board members, and evaluate other PMI chapter processes. Working with the KIPMI chapter board of directors and especially the Finance team, to define and document a new RFP process within the new bylaws and organizational operational plan.
2. Compile the results of the other projects within the Bylaws Rewrite program and write the revised bylaws. Route the bylaws for approval by PMI and KIPMI Board of Directors and membership.

Bylaws Gap Analysis – Operational Plan Creation |

Volunteer Opportunity: Volunteer member(s) to work with the Administration team to update the KIPMI Chapter Bylaws. This project involves the following initiatives:
1) Review our current bylaws, PMI template, other chapter bylaws/operational plans and get input from our KIPMI Board of Directors. Complete a gap analysis of our current bylaws. Recommend content for our new bylaws and operational plan.
2) Compile the results of the other projects within the Bylaws Rewrite program and write the KIPMI Operational Plan. Route the operational plan for approval by KIPMI Board of Directors.
